ONGC builds 26-bed Community Hospital at Lakhimpur Kheri
A 26-bed Community Hospital has been built by Maharatna ONGC at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Built at a cost of around 5 Crore rupees, this hospital would serve the medical needs of people 40-50 kilometers from Isanagar to Dhaurehara and Nanpara to Lakhimpur-Kheri and would bring huge healthcare benefits to people of this poor region of the State which so far had remained neglected.
While this hospital has been functioning for the last one month, it was formally inaugurated last week by the Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Jitin Prasada. CMD, ONGC, Sudhir Vasudeva, along with Chief CSR C.K. Mishra. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. A.K. Goyal and other senior officials of ONGC , were present on this occasion.
Inaugurating the hospital, ONGC CMD Mr. Sudhir vasudeva said, “We believe that Quality Healthcare can be made affordable, and we also believe a person, however poor he may be, has right to quality healthcare, and this simple ideology has led us to make the best available healthcare facilities affordable to the public”.
This ONGC community would be managed by Construction, Operation & Management (COM) Partner Chandan Healthcare Limited, for initial period 10 years. The hospital with male and female wards is providing medical facilities at the doorstep of a large population, for which people had to travel large distances at huge cost earlier.
